Meet Some of Our People
|
Hi I’m Liz, and I’ve been married to Damian for almost eight years and we have three daughters. I’ve attended HCF for about two years and as soon as you walk through the door, you instantly feel at home. The church has such a great vibe to it and all the people are very welcoming and friendly. My husband wasn’t a Christian and he started coming along too. Now he has become a Christian and so has his mum ! We all now attend HCF every week and we believe it’s a fantastic family church. I’m involved in the worship and I really look forward to having great times with God and with the people. |

I have been married for eleven years and I have one daughter. When I moved to Horwich from Blackburn I was looking for a church to belong. After trying almost every church in Horwich, I finally found a place where I belonged at HCF. Since then I have become a Christian and the people are so welcoming and friendly. My daughter loves Kidzone KNX on a Sunday. I oversee the welcome team and HCF has people coming from different age groups and includes single people and married couples. |

I have been a Christian for many years but in August 2009 I had reached a spiritual and mental low point and was considering leaving church altogether.
However God had other ideas and while out shopping one morning I met an old friend of mine who was at HCF. He invited me to come along one Sunday and when I arrived I was welcomed so warmly and enjoyed the worship so much, that I knew I had found a place to have fellowship with God and other believers.
I have not looked back and although I am in my seventies I am very busy in the church and I just love people and want the very best for them as God does for me.

One day a Christian spoke to me about God, and I raised objections -"How do you know there is a God? - How do you know the Bible is right?"
I then sensed something was missing from my life, and that if God existed, I wanted to find Him.
I started attending the University Christian Union meetings to learn more. Finding that God was real, I asked Jesus into my life as my King. He changed my life, giving it real purpose and meaning.
After attending various churches for some years, I sensed that God wanted me to reach out in my home town of Horwich, and join a local church there.
At Horwich Christian Fellowship (HCF), I found very caring people who love God and gave me a warm welcome with much encouragement. Through different projects we at HCF are looking to make a difference to this town.
